Christmas is nearly here. This means that most of us are a bit stressed trying to find the perfect present for our loved ones. I will try to help you by writing a gift guide which will be up soon, but in the meantime I would like to talk about something else. To be precise, I would like to talk about what kinds of gift giver we can find out there. Even though I am going to be talking about me in this post, I am sure you will be able to recognise some of the things that you do as well.
The Early Bird Shopper
I don’t know how they do it, but these gift givers are able to plan everything ahead. I even know people who start buying Christmas presents in July. That’s definitely way too early. You should enjoy summer first! However, it is true that once they finish, they can relax and enjoy the festive season. Moreover, they can avoid massive crowds when they go shopping because they have already bought everything they needed. Another advantage is that they can get some great deals. For example, they might be able to buy a few presents cheaper than usual thanks to Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Personally, I admire these people, but I really struggle with it. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to plan this kind of stuff so in advance.
The Online Shopper
I am definitely part of this group. I just love shopping online. We can find nearly everything we need on the Internet and we won’t have to queue. Well, unless you want to get a pair of Yeezy of course. It is probably the easiest way to buy your gifts too. You just need to add the items to your basket, pay for them and wait till they arrive to you front door. Easy peasy! To be honest, there are also some negative aspects. For example, your package may take ages to arrive depending on where you buy it. For this reason, you should shop in places such as Amazon or Asos, as they offer next day delivery. You definitely don’t want your presents to be late, especially during Christmas time.
The Crafter
Some people prefer making their own gifts. It is definitely a great way to save some money if you are on a budget. It all depends on how good you are at DIYing, but you can create some really cool presents for your friends and family. I would even say that the gifts can be much more personal than when you buy them. They are going to be unique too. The best thing is that nowadays it’s very easy to find inspiration if you are a crafter. Youtube and Pinterest are probably the best sources, although I am sure you can find many others as well. In fact, you can also check out some of my old posts where I made things such as a copper lamp or a minimal Christmas tree.
The Last Minute Shopper
I feel like I could also be part of this group of gift givers. In fact, I’m sure we have all been last minute shoppers. The worst part about it is that you will have to deal with lots of crowds when you go shopping. Finding a good present will also be difficult because most of the items that you have in mind will be sold out. Online shopping and gift guides can be very useful though, but you will need to check what websites offer next day delivery too. Otherwise the parcel won’t arrive on time. To be honest, being a last minute shopper stresses me out, although I have managed to get amazing gifts anyway in the past.
No matter what kind of gift giver you are, Biscuiteers can be a good option for you. I have previously talked about the brand here and you all know how much I love it. The biscuits from their Christmas range are adorable as you can see in the pictures. They are also absolutely delicious, as you can taste all the different spices with which they have been made.
Biscuiteers offers delay in dispatch and special deals, which may be perfect for the Early Birds. Online shoppers can also take advantage of their Click&Collect service or buy personalised gifts from their website. Their Gingerbread House DIY kit or the different classes they have available could also be great for those crafters out there. And don’t worry if you are a Last Minute Shopper because they offer next day delivery or you could even get a gift voucher if you are in a rush.
I hope you have enjoyed reading this post. I have already said that I am definitely an online shopper although I tend to buy all the presents quite late too. Let’s say I’m a last minute online shopper, which is probably the term that defines me better. However, I would love to know what kind of gift giver you think you are. I feel like it can be quite interesting, so let me know in the comments down below. As always, you can also find me on Twitter and on Instagram in case you want to contact me.
