My Blog’s First Anniversary

My Blog’s First Anniversary

I still can’t believe I am writing this post right now. Today is my blog’s first birthday! I couldn’t be happier about it and there are so many things I would like to talk about. This year has been absolutely amazing, although I’ve had my ups and downs. Even though my life is more or less the same one, I have changed quite a lot internally. I feel like I am much more confident and that I know better what I want to do with my life.

My blog has also played an important role in that change. I can’t believe that something which started as a little hobby because I wanted to share some bits of my life, has actually become a very important part of my life. In fact, I feel that my blog has helped me shape my personality, or at least I have been able to discover myself. It all started with a casual post about a little restaurant in London that I liked, and now I can speak my heart out freely and you give me your support. I even have my own domain, which is so cool! I am very proud to be honest, although it is such a small thing.

I must admit that working with brands is something very cool, but what I love about blogging is that your blog is a great way, not only to express yourself, but also to communicate with other people. At first, I wasn’t sure about the idea of setting up a blog, but now I would recommend it to ANYONE! There are lots of lovely people out there, and I’ve been able to meet some of them (not in real life, though, not yet!) and the amount of support we all give to each other is mind-blowing.

Blogging can also teach you so many different things. I feel like I have improved my writing skills quite a lot, and my photos are improving as well (at least that’s what I like to think!). However, I am still experimenting so that I can really know what kind of style I truly love. It is also very important to check out other people’s blogs, as you can learn so many interesting things from them.

At first, not many people believed in me when I said I wanted to start blogging. However, I’ve also had the support of many other people such as my family, friends and lots of strangers that have told me how much they love what I do. Writing posts is not as easy as you may think, and it requires a lot of time and effort, but if you are doing what you love, it is totally worth it. That’s very important, because people also know how much you care about what you do, and the more you care, the more they will like it. Please, don’t start a blog because you want to get some freebies, be famous or earn a lot of money. If you work hard, this may come eventually, but don’t let it be your last goal.

In the future I would like to upload even more posts so that we can all enjoy them. I promise I’ll try very hard, although it is very difficult to study, work and blog at the same time. Hopefully, I’ll also have so many new opportunities in the future and I’ll be able to share them here too. I wish I was invited to some sort of even, so that I can meet some other bloggers.

To finish this post, I would like to say thank you to each one of you. THANK YOU. You don’t even know how much your comments, your messages and even your emails mean to me. You use some of your valuable time to read what I write, and that is something I always keep in mind, that is also why I try to do my best. To celebrate my blog’s anniversary I am giving away some products I was sent recently. You’ve got the details on my Instagram (here). Have a look at it and good luck! I hope you are all having a nice day, and thank you again for reading!
