I am already on holidays, so I have a lot of time to do the things I always love doing. One of them is reading, as you probably all know. I have already read a few ones of different types. However, I decided to talk you about Indomable, which is the one I have just finished.
Indomable means untameable in Spanish, namely not capable of being domesticated. The author is Pelayo Díaz, one of the bloggers I mentioned in my last post. As he has explained, he chose this title because that’s how a friend of him called him once, and he thinks it is a word that defines him very well. I completely agree with this. As far as I could observe from his book he is someone who has always fought agains what he was told he couldn’t do.
In the book, he explains many different things about his life, as his childhood, the places where he’s been living, the people he has met, and a lot of other relevant stuff which is very useful to know why he acts like he does in certain situations. Of course, he also narrates how he started in the fashion world.
I personally loved the fact that the book has A LOT of photos to look at from different parts of his life. I enjoyed having a look at them all very much to be honest. Also, it is very interesting to see some of the outfits he has worn in the past. One of my favourite ones is the one with a t-shirt full of safety pins. In fact, Rihanna wore a dress with safety pins on a video which had been designed by Pelayo Díaz.
Maybe the fact that I have met personally the author and had my copy signed by him made me love the book even more. I must say he is a lovely person, although we did not have much time to talk to him, as there were a lot of people waiting in the queue and it was quite late. However, he is very kind and I loved spending at least a few seconds with him.
You should definitely read Indomable (available here), although it isn’t translated to Spanish. I would recommend it to anyone interested in his life. Also, anyone who need some motivation in life should read it, as I believe it is very inspiring. Let me know what you think of it if you read it!
This sounds like something I’d love to read. I’m always on the look out for new books & I’m such a lover of book posts 🙂
