I am quite busy these days. To be honest, I don’t have a lot of exams, but I have several projects to do. They are taking so much time of my life and this is something that really stresses me out. The main reason for this stress is that I don’t know if I will be able to do it all on time, although I normally can.
This is not going to be a post about how I feel less stressed during these periods of time. I simply don’t know how to relax when I have all these things to do. Actually, this post is going to be about what I will do when I finish it all. I am going to explain some of the activities I do so that I can feel truly relaxed and enjoy my time after being stressed for a while.
One of the most relaxing activities for me is reading. It is something that I have always loved, and spending time doing it is a pleasure! It may sound a bit prototypical, but I feel like I am in another world whilst reading. The book you can see in the following image is not the one that I am currently reading, but my favourite book. It has been one of the best ones I have ever read, and I think it is beautifully written. I also liked the film, just for you to know!
Another activity I love and that helps me feel relaxed is writing. It doesn’t really matter what I write, it may be a blog post, a short story or even my thoughts about any kind of topic. I feel so relaxed. I recommend you all to write anything you want from time to time as I am sure you will feel very well doing it, and you don’t need to publish it. Even when you are sad or angry, you can write down what you feel and it will help.
While reading or writing I normally have a cup of tea. In fact, I am having one whilst writing this post. Even though it is supposed to be an stimulating drink, I feel very well and relaxed while having a good cuppa. My favourite tea is English Breakfast (quite traditional, isn’t it?), although I like a huge variety of flavours. I am definitely a tea lover.
When I have time I really enjoy baking any kind of delicious food. I can feel a little bit stressed when I am baking because I am a bit scared that I can cause a big mess. However, when it ends up well, I feel very pleased with myself, and this makes me feel very happy and relaxed too. So, if you need to relax and you have enough time, go and bake some delicious cupcakes! Also, eat them afterwards, which is even better!
This is basically all I do when I have nothing to do and I am not stressed anymore. I also like going out with my friends, spending time with my family or taking some photos. Meanwhile, I am going to be doing a lot of stuff, including helping my father with his work. I will be very stressed and I wil probably be moaning about it all on Twitter.
Do you also have a lot of things to do these days? What do you do when you don’t have anything to do? I am very interested in knowing what you do when you don’t have to worry about exams, projects or your work. Do you do what I do or you prefer doing other kind of activities?
This post is soooo relatable!
