My Week

My Week

I do not have to go to university these days because we have already finished our exams and it is time for re-assessment. As I have passed all my finals, I have a lot of free time now. I thought it was going to be great having some days off, but it is quite boring and it is difficult to find things to do, especially if your friends still have to go to class. Anyway, I am going to explain what I have been doing this week.

On Monday I still needed to study because I had to take an exam on Tuesday. It was an exam that I could not do in November as I went to London back then. It was about English Descriptive Grammar and I think I did quite well. It was very easy, although I still do not have the marks, so I’d better not talk too loud! Despite I had to study, I had fun. I enjoy the subject so it was not a nightmare. However, I was really happy to be totally free after the exam!

During all the week I have been reading one of the books I mentioned in a post a few weeks ago, The English: A Field Guide. It basically explains some situations and how the prototypical English person would act. I have to say that it is really funny and some episodes are hillarious! It is not the best book, but it is quite entertainin, and English people would probably laugh at it even harder. I still need to finish it though, so I may laugh harder too!

Another thing I have done is watching films. I would like to mention one of them, Mommy. It is a Canadian film and I REALLY liked it. I do not want to explain what it is about, mainly because I want to encourage you to watch it. It is quite weird but definitely one of my favourite films ever. Its director is Xavier Dolan, who is also the director of Adele’s Hello music video. The story is amazing and the songs they use throughout the film are awesome. I recommend it, definitely, especially if you watch it in V.O. (You can watch it with subtitles if you do not understand French, which I don’t haha). I also loved eating homemade salted popcorn whilst watching it!

Apart from all of this, I have been relaxing at home or having a little walk and also some coffees and teas. I have also been planning a few things for the blog that you will see during the following weeks. In fact, I have visited some places around Barcelona that I’ll be posting about andI have also gone to Collioure, France. I will post about that day trip too!

I think this post is a more personal one. Let me know if you enjoyed it! I may be posting more post like this one in the future!
