Gingerbread Smoothie

Gingerbread Smoothie

Christmas is one of these periods of time when all we do is eating and getting cosy. It is very common to have a drink to go with all this food. As it is usually cold in winter, we normally go for a hot drink such as a tea or a coffee, or maybe a hot chocolate. BUT what if we don’t want a hot drink? It is a bit difficult to find a cold drink with a Christmassy taste, isn’t it? Well, a Gingerbread Smoothie can be a delicious solution to this problem!

Ingredients

  • 1 yogurt or 1 cup of milk (depending on your preference)
  • 1 frozen banana
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ginger
  • 1 tbs molasses
  • A little bit of Stevia (optional)

Let’s go!

Add all the ingredients except the Stevia into a blender and blend until smooth. If you want it even sweeter, then add some Stevia or sugar. I normally use the first one because it’s supposed to be healthier, but it doesn’t really matter if you change it for another sweetener. I really recommend you to chop the banana before you freeze it, because it will be easier to blend once you’re preparing the smoothie.

I discovered this super easy recipe here. I believe it is a nice alternative to what we normally drink during Christmas. One of the main reasons why I like it is that it’s a bit spicy. Make sure to give it a go. I hope you enjoy it!
